Many of us are extremely dissatisfied with the (Scottish) tail wagging the (English) dog!

“JOBLESS young Romanians are being offered apprenticeships on a flagship British government scheme intended to help unemployed Britons into work.” states a Sunday Times report about its investigation of the antics of Extern Job, an agency based in the town of Cluj, ROMANIA!
These developments not only draw attention to the manifestation of Romanian national self-interest but should be set alongside the claims of ‘work-shy’ Brits! Indeed, there have been other occasions when advertising and recruitment for jobs in England have taken place in other EU states eg Poland. Is it unreasonable to expect the British Government to have already implemented measures to forestall the current such detrimental happenings?
It appears that, once again, no effective action has been taken by the British Government. On the contrary, the Coalition is content to be dictated to by the EU when taking steps to assist unemployed English people. The government headed by Cameron & Clegg simply does not represent the people of England. A referendum on continued membership of the EU must be held without delay and cynical attempts to gain narrow party advantage.

There are two elements to public service whether elective or by appointment:
1. To DO the right thing
2. To be SEEN to do the right thing.
The second element is widely disregarded . . . assuming that public servants (politicians in particular) are even aware of it! Had MPs (and Lords) kept this second element at the forefront of their minds, instead of assuming that they would never be exposed, much of the recent (and ongoing) expenses scandal would not have occurred which serves to emphasize how low current standards of conduct are!
From an English position, the latest farce is the spectacle of a Scot, Danny Alexander, making commitments for England. It might have appeared a tad better had the Chancellor of the Exchequer himself made the announcement that the British Government (ie the English) underwrite all of Scotland’s share of the British state debt even if Scotland votes to go independent, but then, Gideon Osborne is only a Brit!

The Lords hate elections and other such ballots!
EU Referendum Bill: Peers delay legislation
The unrepresentative House of Appointees, has set out to thwart a state ballot. Perhaps the Ukraine indicates the only kind of initiative which will attract their attention and be taken seriously?
The Lords is another House which needs a thorough clear out!
Captured by the Germans, Edith was tried by a German kangaroo court because she helped British and ALL other wounded soldiers and, unlike others similarly charged, was singled out to be executed! Others (French, Belgians &c) were sent to German POW camps in Germany.
Let us honour her now by supporting the campaign for her to be commemorated on a new 2 coin as one of the initiatives marking the disaster of the First World War.
EDITH CAVELL, ENGLISH PATRIOT, 1865 ~ 1915
“Patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone.”
Gosh, the Guardian!!
Could it be that the closed minds of the Left have actually opened a chink?
Devolution for England – It’s time we examined the option of an English Parliament

Scottish presenter, Neil Oliver, was selected to front a BBC2 programme about an early English king ~ Alfred the Great!
Does anyone seriously imagine that an English presenter ~ say, Mary Beard ~ would be chosen for an investigatory programme about Robert the Bruce! Too female? Nah! Too ENGLISH!!!
Once again the hideously anti-English BBC tramples over the sensitivities and sensibilities of English people in a way it would not dare for the Scots, or Irish or Welsh!
For the convenience those minded to complain about this matter (and as many as possible are encouraged to do so) here is a link:
