It would appear that awareness of and pride in our English heritage is increasing each year. Some of us are old enough to know that these scenes were widespread in England’s towns, cities and villages until the all-smothering Britishness syndrome set in a few decades ago in the 1970s.
I wonder what they did in ‘politically correct’, Labour dominated Bristol or Lib Dem Bath!
