Western Daily Press (Bristol, England) –Thursday, November 20, 2014.
In her first speech to the Scottish National Party as its leader, Nicola Sturgeon referred to the (very real) possibility that her party will hold the balance of power at Westminster, following next May’s general election.
She went on to say that her party may enter into an alliance with the Labour Party with a twofold purpose: to prevent the Conservative Party from taking office and to get as many more concessions for Scotland as possible.
I can think of few things more horrifying than the prospect of a government composed of the architects of the 2008 crash and a party which holds the United Kingdom (and, therefore, England) in utter contempt. Remember that such a government, while ostensibly being the “British” government, will have jurisdiction in England alone, so England will find itself governed, by a party that wants to carve it up into “regions”, backed up by another whose sole concern is for another country entirely.
And the Westminster elite still tries to pretend that this is the “United” Kingdom!
