Am I alone in noticing from television the difference in the way female MPs generally dress compared with male MPs?
For some unfathomable reason many of the females feel the need to put rather unappetising areas of bare flesh on view. Now who really wants to see wrinkled or freckled bare chests? What with that, bare knees and some rather bizarre outfits, many of the women would appear to be dressed more suitably for the seaside than a day’s work legislating for the country!
In marked contrast, male MP after male MP appears on television usually in jacket and tie and looking as though they are there in the Commons chamber and Committee Room to do business!
It has to be said: self-satisfied, smug female MPs are not enhancing the Commons with their appearance! On the contrary, they make it appear more like a common room in a holiday camp and lower the tone, which should be businesslike.
